How To Send A Bike

If you’re looking to send a bike, there are a few things you need to do in order to prepare it for shipment. In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps necessary to dismantle your bike, bubble wrap and box it up, and book your delivery.

Dismantle your bike

The first step in sending a bike is to dismantle it. This will help reduce the bike’s size and make it easier to package. Start by removing the seat and any other accessories attached to the bike. Next, remove the pedals and chain. Finally, disconnect the brakes and cables. Make sure to label each line and brake to indicate its location (front, rear, etc.).

Bubble wrap and box it up

Now that your bike is in parts, it’s time to box it up. You’ll need a box at least twice the size of your entire bike; if possible, choose one with slightly more room on all sides for extra padding.

Place the assembled frame in the center of the bottom half of the box and fill around it with bubble wrap, crumpled newspaper, or any other packing material you have on hand.

Pack the wheels and pedals in the top half of the box, ensuring they’re well-cushioned.

Seal up the box and label it accordingly.

Book your delivery

Now that your bike is ready to go, it’s time to book your delivery. Our Courier Service offers a variety of shipping options, so you can choose the one that fits your needs and budget.
